2007 FULL-FORM DAYLILIES

LEDGEWOOD’S BORN FREE (Abajian,G) TET (Ledgewood’s Pansy Eye X Unknown) 6.75”,SEV,29”,EM,Re,BC 26, 4-way branching. $175.00

The picture says it all, an absolutely fabulous flower, named in honor of our favorite German Shepherd CH.Ledgewood’s Born Free (we called her Elsa), is a creamy gold with burgundy eye and ruffled edge outlined in cream above a chartreuse green throat. The petals are wide and pinched at the tips and the sepals are slightly recurved. Vigorous with heavy substance, this striking flower stands out in the garden and is fertile both way.

LEDGEWOOD’S CARVED IN GOLD (Abajian, G) TET (Empire Returns X Sdlg.) 5.75”, SEV, 27”, EM, Re, BC 20, 3-way branching. $175.00

Not a yellow but a deep gold with a slight creamy edge and green throat that spills out over the petals. Thick, deep carvings make LEDGEWOOD’S CARVED IN GOLD a standout in the garden. Inbred on its pod parent (Empire Returns), it gives the “carved” look to many of its progeny. For the hybridizer that wants this look, this flower is a must. Fertile both ways

LEDGEWOOD’S CHERRIES JUBILEE (Abajian, G) TET (Sabine Baur X Jane Trimmer) 6.5”, SEV, 26”, EM, Re, BC 22, 4-way branching. $100.00

LEDGEWOOD’S CHERRIES JUBILEE is a round 6.5” vanilla cream flower with an intense Bing cherry red eye and edge above a glowing green throat. The large Bing cherry red eye covers most of the flower. Form is very round, full, and overlapped. Heavy substanced and fertile both ways.

LEDGEWOOD’S ISABELLA (Abajian, G) TET (Ledgewood’s Pansy Eye X Ledgewood’s Tropical Butterfly) 5”, Dor , 26”, EM, Re, BC 25, 4-way branching. $125.00

This unique flower is hard to describe, LEDGEWOOD’S ISABELLA has a light plum lavender base color with a brushed multi colored violet blue eye pattern above a bright green throat. The sepal edges are outlined in cream and echo the colors of the eye. Sun fast, fertile, a vigorous grower, it reblooms in Florida.

LEDGEWOOD’S JUMPSTART (Abajian, G) TET (Ledgewood’s Pansy Eye X Jane Trimmer) 6.25”, Dor., 27”,EM, Re, BC 21, 3-way branching. $100.00

LEDGEWOOD’S JUMPSTART is a 6”+ cream gold with a large, bold dark burgundy eye, and strong burgundy picotee edge, that beautifully contrasts the bright green throat. Form is very round, full, and overlapped. Substance is heavy and holds well in full sun. Fertile both ways with great genes

LEDGEWOOD’S STRING OF PEARLS (Abajian, G) TET (Nature’s Showman X Sdlg.) 6”, SEV, 27”, EM, Re, BC 20, 3-way branching. $100.00

The picture really doesn’t do justice to this flower. LEDGEWOOD’S STRING OF PEARLS is not a red. It is a dark plum purple with a darker halo above a bright green throat. Heavily ruffled petals are trimmed with snow-white teeth and bubbles. The white edge repeats in the sepals. Fertile both ways, and very generous in giving white edges to its progeny.

LEDGEWOOD’S SUNDAY DESSERT (Abajian, G) TET (Sdlg. X Sdlg.) 5.25”, SEV, 25”, EM, Re, BC 20, 3-way branching. $125.00

It has ½”, light raspberry ruffled edges outlined in glittering gold set above a bright green throat. Substance is heavy, a vigorous grower, and fertile both ways.

An irresistible, eye catching, golden yellow flower with a large deep dark burgundy eye and ¾” ruffled burgundy edge outlined in gold above a green throat. Very vigorous grower with heavy substance. Pod and pollen fertile, LEDGEWOOD’S TONY LIKES IT has inherited the best characteristics of its parents.

LEDGEWOOD’S WHEN SPIRTS UNITE (Abajian, G) TET (Ledgewood’s Tropical Butterfly X Florida Scrub Jay) 7.5”, SEV, 28”, EM, Re, BC 20, 3-way branching. $100.00

A very special 7.5” flower with a pale, pale lavender base color. LEDGEWOOD’S WHEN SPIRITS UNITE has a beautiful patterned eye with shades of violet, blue, and gray edged in light magenta. LEDGEWOOD’S IRISH SPIRIT (Abajian, G) TET 8.5”, SEV, 32”, EM, Re, BC 25, 4-way branching. $100.00

The leprechauns have struck. From a distance, LEDGEWOOD’S IRISH SPIRIT appears as a solid green flower. This 8.5”unusual form has a light muted pink base color, with a dark green throat that flows out onto the petals and sepals. Very pollen fertile, but a difficult pod parent. Gives beautiful kids with large green throats.

LORD OF THE WIND (Abajian, G) TET 9”, SEV, 29”, EM, Re, BC 20, 4-way branching. $100.00

A spectacular “windmill” flower that appears to be in constant motion. This 9”+ cascade-crispate unusual form has a mulberry red base color with a bright red eye and large bight green throat. The petals and sepals are outlined with a fine yellow edge. LORD OF THE WIND is a wonderful parent that is easily fertile both ways. Many of its children have that “windmill look” to it.
